2004-2005 ACTIVITIES AND FIELD TRIPS

Meetings

We meet biweekly to do activities, work on Try-Its, and generally have fun together!

Investiture

We had a ceremony to welcome the girls into Brownie Girl Scouts.

Parades

Two girls walked with Maynard Girl Scouts in the town Christmas parade.

Mother-Daughter Banquet

Each spring there is a town-wide Mother-Daughter Girl Scout Banquet.

Cookie Booths

A great way to brush up on sales skills - without being by yourself - is to hold a cookie booth! (And selling extra cookies doesn't hurt, either.)

Overnight at the Children's Museum

When else can you sleep in Climbing The Walls? Many of our girls went and had a wonderful time learning about local Native American dances, origami, and kimonos.

Nature Walk

We took a walk down to tiny little Carbone Park and wandered around - plus we picked up all sorts of litter to dispose of!

Court of Awards

We hold a special celebration ceremony when it's time to hand out the Try-Its and patches that we've earned.

Police/Fire Station

As part of the Safety Sense Try-It, we took a field trip to see the Maynard Police/Fire Station - jail cells, fire trucks and all.
