Try-Its are the earned insignia that Brownies receive for completing specific topic-related activities. On this page you'll find a general introduction sheet, an affidavit for Try-Its completed at home, and information about Try-Its we've completed.
NOTE: Brownies must complete 4 activities from the list of activities for each Try-It (or complete something similar but equivalent). The activities that we complete for each Try-It are not all the possible activities for it.

- United Kingdom: played Cat and Mouse, a circle game, and ate scones.
- India: played a simplified (indoor) version of Kabadi, a popular game that is a little like tag, and ate puppadums and mango chutney.
- Mexico: played Circle of San Miguel, a circle/skipping game, and ate sopaipillas.
- Ghana: played Obwisana, a stone-passing game, and ate plantain chips.

- Learned about First Aid for cuts, and made a personal First Aid kit.
- We made a list of safety rules for our meetings.
- We took a trip to the Maynard fire/police station.
- We found all the ways to exit our meeting place in case of a fire.

- Learned what a pulse is and how to take it on ourselves and others. (Still need more practice, though!)
- We started to play Body Volley with balloons and will make it more challenging as we have time.
- We made fitness spinners, small ones for each girl plus a big one for the troop. We will use the troop spinner when we need an active game during meetings and outings.
- We talked about "brain power" and trying to use different muscles at the same time (i.e. writing while moving your foot in a circle on the floor).

- Made paper chrysanthemums, the floral symbol of friendship.
- Made friendship bracelets for ourselves and a friend.
- Decorated notecards and filled out letters that we glued to the inside to introduce ourselves to the members of a possibly penpal troop.
- Created secret codes, made up a coded message, and had someone decode it.

- Brainstormed things we could do with the money and came up with a goal.
- Practiced adding to figure out how much 1 box, 2 boxes, etc., cost, and practiced subtracting to see how much change a person would get depending on how much they paid with.
- Practiced what to say when selling cookies, to each other and to different parents in the troop.
- We plan to write thank you notes when the cookies are delivered, and write a thank you note to the manager of the store where we had our cookie booths.

- Each girl drew a picture about one line of the Girl Scout Law, and the girls presented them (in order!) at Investiture.
- We learned and practiced the Girl Scout sign, handshake, quiet sign, friendship circle, and friendship squeeze. Our returning girls helped teach the new girls.
